In 1849 the Church joined the Nolachucky Baptist Association with 50 members. Jonathan Quarles was the Pastor. He had been converted and baptized into Mossy Creek (Jefferson City First)Baptist Church in August 1843. He pastored until 1858 and seen the church grow to 125. In 1849 there were only 8 churches in Jefferson County. In 1920 the Church joined the Jefferson County Baptist Association. Today, we are still shining the Light of Christ in our community.
