My Sister's Pantry During this unprecedented time, we are providing pre-bagged groceries on the 1st & 3rd Mondays 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 4th Saturday 9:30 am to Noon.

Our clothing bank is open monthly by appointment only. Call 253-627-1186.

Today is the last Pantry for 2021. As is our tradition, we have items collected throughout the year that can be gifts. We also have hygiene items and laundry pods. And so much food! Merry Christmas. We’ll be open on Monday, January 3,2022 from 2:30 to 5:00pm.

Another busy day. Health Dept volunteers are here to administer flu/pneumonia/HepA/B shots to all who want them. Folks are selecting breads, pastries & fresh vegetables. Then getting pre-bagged shelf stable items & meat & dairy items. There’s also the opportunity to visit our clothing room. The gentleman in the last picture was gifted the cart when we learned he struggled getting his groceries home. From now on he’ll make it in one trip not two or three. .

Busy day at the Pantry. People are gathering food for Thanksgiving. Jalapeño cornbread hush puppies were packaged up. No turkeys, but whole chicken & hamburger were available along with all sorts of fresh fruit & vegetables. We were also able to give out $25 vouchers for North Tacoma Grocery Outlet. Information from Tacoma Public Utilities came in red shopping bags & flyers about upcoming vaccination clinics & rental assistance were distributed. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍽🍁

Trying something new. We’ve invited clients inside to select what they want from tables set up in the hall. Then they move to two windows to pick up meats, dairy & pre-bagged groceries. Over the last year clients have come to the main door where groceries were handed out. Our clients have said they like it this new way. Hopefully next month we will be able to add the clothing room each time we’re open.
