Funds raised will benefit the Spokane Complex Fire Support Fund established by Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, providing vital assistance to affected families. The Carmelite Nuns in Shoreline have shared this note of gratitude following our Tacoma-Vashon Parish Family's "Christmas in July" collection. Thank you to everyone from Holy Cross, St. Patrick, and St. John Vianney whose generosity helped support the sisters and their ministry. 💙🙏🏻

Dear Father David and the members of the Tacoma-Vashon Parish Family,

God bless each and every one of you for your very generous participation in "Christmas in July." As usual, you outdid yourselves in providing so generously for our needs.

You have a wonderful parish spirit which is God's gift to you, to us, and to the whole Church in Western Washington.

In response to the devastating wildfires affecting communities in Eastern Washington, Archbishop Paul D. Etienne has requested that our parishes hold a special collection on the weekend of August 8-9, 2026. The purpose of this collection is to support those impacted by this disaster.

The funds raised through this collection will benefit the Spokane Complex Fire Support Fund, which has been established by Catholic Charities Eastern Washington. This fund will provide assistance to individuals and families affected by the wildfires.

📰 EXCITING NEWS! 📰 Georgina shares from Holy Cross that she was thrilled by the incredible generosity of parishioners, whose dedication to helping others is truly inspiring. After Mass, Fr. Mulholland was overheard exclaiming, “I don't know what we are going to do! If this generosity keeps up, the donated items for the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel might even require a U-Haul for delivery!”

Every time we think, “Surely nobody can top this generosity,” Holy Cross parishioners just smile and say, “Hold my rosary.” 📿 ❤️ 😆 🙏

🎄 Christmas in July Update 🎄

Look at the wonderful generosity of our parish family! Thank you to everyone who has already contributed items for the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. These donations will help provide for the sisters' daily needs and support their beautiful ministry of prayer for the Church and our community.

There's still time to participate! If you have selected an item from the Giving Tree or shopping list, please remember to bring it with you when you come to Mass.

If you would still like to participate, we welcome donations of requested items from the sisters' wish list. Some of their current needs include:
