We were welcomed by Pastor Alex and Angy of Aliento de Vida Church (Breath of life). Pastor Alex shared a powerful vision, to expand God’s Kingdom by breathing life into places others are unwilling to go.
Reaching the church requires a 15-minute journey up a rough dirt road, some even make the trip on foot. Yet the church is filled with people eager to gather and worship. In just a year and a half, they have built their church from the ground up, leveling the land and laying each brick by hand. Many days Pastor Alex worked alone, other times he was joined by the men of the church. Through it all, they have witnessed God’s miracles and provision.
While much has been accomplished, there is still work to be done. The church currently has no running water and relies on collected rainwater. We were incredibly blessed by their hospitality, and as they have poured into us, we desire to be a blessing to them as well.
