Ascension Lutheran Church We are a member congregation of the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC).

Ascension Lutheran Church of Tacoma, Washington, is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to the south Puget Sound area, and beyond. Pastor Jonah Albrecht was installed as pastor of the dual parishes of Ascension Lutheran Church, Tacoma, and Redemption Lutheran Church, Lynnwood, on July 17, 2023.

We had the MOST productive workday yesterday, May 30th, at Ascension. The majority of the work was accomplished at the parsonage. So many weeds were whacked, so many branches, blackberries, and brambles were eliminated! The parsonage decks, roof, and gutters were cleared of moss, leaves, and debris. Everything looks so nice now! Thank you to everyone who helped make our church property look fabulous!

We announce with bittersweet joy the passing of one of Ascension's matriarchs: Alice Naumann. She was a long-time member of the CLC, having been a pastor's wife for many years, then as a pastor's mother (Paul Naumann) and even a pastor's grandmother (Ben Libby) here in this congregation for many years. Now she rests safely in her Savior's arms in heaven.
