December has been a month to learn about compassion and the birth story of Jesus. Last Sunday we divided the kiddos into 3 groups and gave each group 3 verses from Luke 2. They had to read the verses and illustrate what was happening. What an amazing job they did! I can’t wait to spend more time together worshipping Jesus and His birth this coming Sunday!

Yesterday we continued talking about cooperation and working together! We had fun practicing cooperating by carrying our friends across the room on a blanket and passing a ball down the wall using only our feet! We also talked about the story of the paralyzed man in Luke who wanted to see Jesus but couldn’t get to him. His friends all worked together to help lower his mat down, through the roof, right in front of Jesus!

Yesterday we kicked off the beginning of November with Fall Fest! The kids had so much fun painting, bouncing, playing pumpkin tic tac toe, and doing the pumpkin ring toss! We also introduced November’s theme: Jam Session- build a better beat! Our word of the month is cooperation: working together to do more than you can do alone!!

Yesterday was our last week learning about contentment, deciding to be ok with what you have. Often, kids can’t wait to be adults, so we made shields to show cool things that kids get to do that adults don’t! Some of our examples were: getting presents from Santa, living with mom and dad, playing games instead of working, and so much more! Check out our cute kids and their awesome shields!
