Karastan is a high Quality carpet that is made either of nylon or Smart Strand. Look for the Smart Strand Silk. It is so soft and still very durable. When installing a vinyl floor over an existing vinyl you should always use embossing leveler. This will provide a smooth floor that will allow the glue to stick and prevent anything from telegraphing through the new vinyl.

The pad you choose is as important as the carpet. Pad is the foundation of a long lasting carpet installation.

When it comes to acclimating your hardwood and laminate floors a lot of people will say 48hrs or 2 weeks but it is not the amount of time that matters. The materiel and sub-floor have to be within 2% of each other then your ready to install.
