We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and took some time to celebrate the Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ... and possibly enjoyed a cookie and some good company on the side! 🙂

That being said, during this holly jolly time of year where we celebrated our Lord coming into the world to do His marvelous works, the devil in his might was working tirelessly to stop those very works of Christ during that period in history. The first Christmas, indeed, had a very dark cloud cast over it in the form of a terrible tragedy enacted by cruel men. Often times when God is working in our very own lives, the devil will work to stop it, through the calamities of life or the cruelty of others in an attempt to thwart our faith or the good works of the Holy Spirit. We must never forget that during those times God is still with us and still loves us. He will see us through those times through prayer and His Word. Are you going through any of those times of hardship? Send us a message and we will add you to our prayers!

Sometimes even the most faithful believers of God experience doubt in times of trial. John the Baptist was the last Old Testament prophet, one of the most faithful men in the scriptures and the forerunner to Christ's ministry on Earth. Even he began to experience doubt when he was imprisoned by King Herod for condemning his adultery. But in an exemplary demonstration of his character, John sent a message to Jesus during his time of doubt and Jesus responded to him with a reassuring message. As we should all run to Jesus in inevitable times of doubt. He will comfort and reassure us.

Wellll thanks to those of you who had the courage and love for the Lord to brave the windy rain to attend our Christmas Carol Sing-Along tonight! We made some friends and even had a special guest appearance from Preacher, the pup! Hope to see you all back for our Christmas Eve service at 10PM for more singing and praise. Bring your friends and family and always remember: we're singing to the King of kings who shed His royal garments to put on the clothes of man, that He may bring salvation to a fallen world who needs Him dearly! Praise be to Christ. ✝🎄

Happy Advent Season from Central Lutheran Church! Pastor Redal for our first Sunday of Advent delivered a message on Matthew 21:1-9 which depicts the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Jesus rode into Jerusalem knowing that in just a few days He was going to be put to death on the Cross for our sins. Riding upon a donkey, He fulfilled the old prophesy of Zechariah 9:9 which says:
"Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a c**t, the foal of a donkey."

Donkeys are quiet, donkeys are humble, donkeys are immensely strong and carry physical burdens that men are too weak to carry. Likewise, our humble, quiet and Almighty Savior carried our burden of sin upon the Cross, a burden we are too weak to carry. Do you recognize our humble Savior and King? Have you cast your burden of sin upon the Cross of Jesus?

"[Psalm 122:1 and Isaiah 2:3] make it very clear that God the Father desires all who abide in Christ Jesus His Son, as His disciple, to come into the House of the Lord each week to joyfully worship, honor, love and glorify Him. You see, coming regularly to church to gather with the gatherers to hear the Gospel rightly proclaimed and the Sacraments rightly administered (according to the Gospel) is the only way to have your faith properly fed, properly nourished and sustained so that you will endure in your faith until you leave this world in death. And this, loved ones, should be the top priority in life for all Christians."

Watch Pastor Redal's powerful Sunday sermon regarding Psalms 122:1 and Isaiah 2:3 which emphasizes the importance for believers to go to the House of the Lord:

On Sunday, Pastor Redal delivered a message on 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17 in which the Apostle Paul (in his letter to the church of Thessalonia) warns God's People of the coming of the Anti-Christ. Do you know who the Anti-Christ, this "Man of Lawlessness" is? Is your faith in Jesus Christ guarded against him?
