We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and took some time to celebrate the Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ... and possibly enjoyed a cookie and some good company on the side! 🙂
That being said, during this holly jolly time of year where we celebrated our Lord coming into the world to do His marvelous works, the devil in his might was working tirelessly to stop those very works of Christ during that period in history. The first Christmas, indeed, had a very dark cloud cast over it in the form of a terrible tragedy enacted by cruel men. Often times when God is working in our very own lives, the devil will work to stop it, through the calamities of life or the cruelty of others in an attempt to thwart our faith or the good works of the Holy Spirit. We must never forget that during those times God is still with us and still loves us. He will see us through those times through prayer and His Word.
