We are happy to announce the Granby Recreation Department recently received grant funding from the Grand Foundation Grand County Communities Priorities Fund. We have limited funding available for children to attend our After-School Program and our Friday Field Trips. Don’t let cost prohibit your child/children from participating in our programs! Funding is limited to a maximum of $300 per family. Funds will be applied on a first come, first served basis to any family in need until funds are depleted.

Please call the Granby Rec Office at: 970-887-3961 to request funding and register for our programs.

Pre-registration and enrollment paperwork is required prior to attending.

Those currently on CCCAP assistance program are not eligible for this grant funding.

Please keep in mind this is just for child care programs such as our "After School Program" and our "Friday Day Camps".

Please pray for all those whose lives are touched by conditions requiring memory care—for those receiving care, their families, and all who lovingly care for them at home or in memory care communities. May God provide comfort, patience, strength, and guidance through changing needs and difficult decisions. We also pray for memory care communities in need of dedicated caregivers, and for those already serving so faithfully. May there be helping hands, compassionate hearts, and loving support for every person and family along this journey.

☕ Coffee Talk Update

Pastor Paula is traveling this week and will return in time for Sunday worship on September 6.

Because she is away, our official 8am Wednesday Fraser Coffee Talk is canceled tomorrow. However, anyone who would still like to gather for coffee and conversation is certainly welcome to meet up.

We wanted to provide some more information about todays’s service and picnic (no service at church today)

August 30 • 10:00 AM, YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch – Mountain Air Cookout Shelter

📍 Directions Google Maps: Search “Mountain Air Cookout Shelter.”

📍 Directions Apple Maps: Search “Buckboard Cafe.” After passing Buckboard Cafe, take the first road on the left, continue past the pond, and follow the road to the roundabout.

Parking will be along the road but there is a valet service option and Kent Wehmeyer will be assisting with that. Please drive all the way to the front of the shelter and we will park your vehicle if needed and will retrieve it for you after the Church Picnic.

Please remember: There will be NO worship service at Church of the Eternal Hills this Sunday. Instead, we’ll gather at Snow Mountain Ranch Mountain Air Cookout Shelter for our Summer Church Picnic & Worship Service!

We’ll be joined by the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch Chapel and St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, with Rev. Paula Steinbacher, Rev. Ashley Harper-Oberle, and Father Matthew Frey leading worship.

🎶 Worship & Music Come ready to sing! From “Amazing Grace” to “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” Kay Irvine and Lance Maloney will lead us in Gospel, hymns, and some “Old-Time Religion.” Our choir will also sing, with special music from Peggy Mann.

🥗 Potluck Lunch Stay after worship for lunch and fellowship. Please keep food safety in mind when bringing food. Let's keep food hot and cold as needed. There is no refrigerator or stove at the shelter, so please bring cold foods in a chilled cooler and hot foods in an insulated hot-food bag/container. There will be extension cords and electrical plug in options available if you bring a crock pot.

Pulled Pork Sandwhiches are being provided for lunch and we are looking forward to all the fun pot luck dishes as well.

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful Clerk of Session, Rochelle Lanterman! Rochelle gives countless hours behind the scenes keeping our church records in order, chairs our Worship Team, helps lead our A/V volunteers — and she even makes a pretty great mocktail! We can't even list all she does and all we are thankful for!

Rochelle, thanks for the time, heart, energy, and care you give to CEH. We are so thankful for you and hope you have a wonderful birthday!
