We want to give a huge shout out to Eddie Long of Eddie’s paramount diner. He recently had knee replacement surgery but still plans to contribute to and cook the pulled pork and cole slaw for our upcoming free Community picnic on August 29th!! We continue to pray for his complete healing and recovery and are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local businesses!

Free food (Noon til gone) - bounce house, live music, lawn games, face painting … it’ll be a fun time and there is no charge for anything!!!

Many folks were asking about the scrambled egg squares I made for Coffee Hour this week. Here’s the recipe I used … but instead of whisking them, I use a blender to get them nice and frothy - and instead of using one big 9”x13” pan, I used my brownie pan (muffin pan would work too) - I put 1 tsp of butter in each cup and popped the tins in the oven to melt the butter. Then brought them out, filled the cups and baked them for about 15 minutes. As soon as any brown appears on the edges pull them out, they are done!

I also put a big pinch of shredded cheese on each one before baking but they are great without it too.

Super easy, always a hit!

One final step to have our electrician complete the electric hookup and we’ll be finished and able to use it!!! Brian Woodard
