Bright blessings to all of you in this season of midwinter!

We are at the point of the year where the light is beginning to conquer the dark. A season of hope as the dawning sun rises earlier in the East and sets later in the West a little more each day.

May Brighid’s fire kindle within your heart warmth and empathy for those who need us most. May her hearth fires melt the ice around us creating a healing well of water liberating us from winter’s grip.

On our blog is a new article all about celebrating Imbolc from a celtic-pagan perspective. Head to our website to read the full article.

Bright Blessings to you all,
Rev. Sherene

Church of the Greenwood and CNY Pagan Pride Day stands in solidarity with the campaign.

We feel even more called to support this effort as our CNY PPD festival grounds at Long Branch Park neighbor Maple Bay – the NYS Thruway dividing us. As residents of Haudenosaunee land we have a responsibility to honor the spirits of the land, the original caretakers of the land and water and the treaties of this land.

That is why we call on the county legislature to fulfill their past promises and return the Maple Bay area of Onondaga Lake to the Onondaga Nation, healing the reciprocal relationship between the Nation and the sacred lake.

This year, a portion of our t-shirt sales were donated to American Indian Law Alliance, an organization committed to restoring indigenous sovereignty that is heeding the initiative.

In honor of Indigenous Peoples Day, we ask you to join the campaign and call on the Onondaga County Legislature to fulfill this commitment.
