The Church of Human Kindness

The Church of Human Kindness This is an attempt to collect the nice parts of each religion or viewpoint. The prime example would be Christianity. This isn't the way it should be.

Almost all of the world's religions and philosophies have been tainted by intolerance and hypocrisy. Christ was a figure of compassion but from his followers we hear so much about fire and brimstone. A personal philosophy should be centered around uplifting the spirit and causing us to grow closer to our fellow man. Christ's undiluted message contained this but it was not the only source of this v

ision of a better tomorrow. We are here to bring together the nice parts from all of the religions and philosophies around the world. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Secular Humanism, etc... and find that common ground that makes us glow inside. This church may function as one's sole church or as an adjunct place to go to get a smile or two. The goal is to have socials and whatnot but even if we are but a lowly page at least we can try to be a bright spot on the internet. You don't have to be nice to join... I'm certainly not all of the time... you just have to want to try. Hopefully we can all help eachother be perfectly pleasant people. :)

There are those that believe we have to be good because that is the will of a benevolent overseer

There are others who believe we have to be good because there is no benevolent overseer so we have the responsibility on ourselves

Do you respect life?

When you see an ant do you consider that it might have as much of a right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness that you do?

Do you see that the seagull lives day after day with the same basic needs and therefore basic problems you have?

Do you respect life?

Do you snap off branches for no reason?

Do you pay to have animals tortured and killed en masse in farming camps?

Do you see that the stranger from overseas is no different from your next door neighbor? Do you nod and smile at the auburn old man of the woods like he is your kin?

Where does it stop? Where does the empathy cut off and numbness begin?

Anything other than self doesn't matter? Nothing outside of the couple or family? Just the town? Does nothing outside of the country register pathos? What about race? Do other species just not count? Or only mammals matter? Where is the line? Where do you shut down and turn into a sociopath to the individuals on the other side of the line?

Bomb the f**k out of them!

Shouldn't have made them so tasty!

What life? Which life? Whose life?
What is life?

If it is pain it deserves respect.
Even if an obstacle was only in someone's head
It deserves respect.

Never ever pity
Never condescension.
Respect

If you don't respect their s**t
You can't expect then to respect yours.
