Lutheran Campus Ministry Syracuse/SUNY ESF & Campus Connect LCM was founded in 1913 as a way for Lutheran students and their friends to gather for fellowship and support on the Syracuse University campus.

Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM) at Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF is a diverse, progressive, and inclusive religious community dedicated to the care, well-being, education, and engagement for all people. LCM continues to be an open community of worship, growth and support. As a part of the Hendricks Chapel community, it is one of many interfaith chaplaincies to minister to the needs of the univer

sity community. Lutheran Campus Ministry is a part of Hendricks Chapel -- a home for all faiths, a place for all people. LCM's broad ministry includes students, faculty, staff, and the greater Syracuse community through worship, support, fellowship, and service. LCM encourages spiritual growth among students who connect with the community, regardless of their faith tradition, through a variety of fellowship activities including Bible Study, Worship, Faith Conversations, and weekly Community Dinners at Koinonia House (KHouse)

Feature Friday! 2025/26 Grant Recipient: Lutheran Campus Ministry Syracuse/SUNY ESF & Campus Connect

Lutheran Campus Ministry in Syracuse supports marginalized students struggling to afford housing and food by hosting a weekly dinner group. Students work together to purchase groceries, prepare food, and host the meal. Funding from the BMGLF grant was used to support these weekly meals for students during the academic year, ensuring that they are well fed for at least one night a week and offering students an opportunity to build community.
