Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Tomorrow is the Day of ’Arafah.
Not just a blessed day. The greatest day of the entire year.
The Prophet ﷺ told us that Allah descends in a manner befitting His majesty and boasts to the angels about the people standing, weeping, calling out to Him and He says: “What do these people want? I make you all witnesses that I have forgiven them.”
That is the God we are turning to tomorrow.
The Prophet ﷺ also said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Hellfire than the Day of ’Arafah.”
Out of every single day in the entire year, every Ramadan night, every Friday, every moment of sujood, tomorrow is the day Allah frees the most people from the Fire.
That could be us. That could be someone we love.
So let’s not let tomorrow pass like any other day.
Let’s fast. The Prophet ﷺ told us it wipes away the sins of the past year and the year to come. Two full years. One day of sincerity.
Let’s make dua, and mean it. The Prophet ﷺ said the best dua of the entire year is the dua of ‘Arafah. Let’s ask Allah for everything that lives in our chests, the things we’ve never said out loud, the duas we gave up on, the people we’re quietly making dua for. He hears all of it.
Let’s fill our day with dhikr, Qur’an, repentance, charity, salah. This is not the day to be casual. This is the day to show up for Allah the way we wish we always did.
And let’s share this. The Prophet ﷺ said whoever points others toward good receives the same reward as those who act on it. One message could be the reason someone fasts tomorrow who otherwise wouldn’t have known.
May Allah make us among those He frees from the Fire tomorrow.
May He accept every dua we raise with trembling hands.
May He look at us on this day and be pleased.
