وقال ابن القيم في النونية :

العِـلم قال الله قال رسولـه *** قال الصحابة هم أولو العرفان

Imam Ibnu Qayyim( رحمه الله) Said

True knowledge is: ‘Allah said,’ ‘His Messenger said and what the Companions people of understanding said.

Powerful reminder from Shaykh Imam Omar Alsharif:

From the mercy of Allah, the learner and reciter of the Qur’an never loses. If you struggle while reciting, you receive two rewards, and if you recite it proficiently, you are with the noble and righteous angels.

So never give up on the Qur’an whether you struggle or recite with ease, there is great reward for you.

On the authority of Abu Qatadah al-Harith ibn Rib‘i (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the Day of Ashura. He replied: It expiates the sins of the previous year.” (Reported by Muslim.)

A short clip from our Eid al-Adha Khutbah.

One of the most powerful reminders from the khutbah was that before sacrificing an animal, we must first sacrifice our ego, our desires, and anything that stands between us and obedience to Allah.

The story of Ibrahim عليه السلام teaches us that true sacrifice is submitting our hearts to Allah before anything else.

May Allah allow us to benefit from these reminders and accept our worship, sacrifices, and good deeds.

Sheikh Tariq Abdurasheed is the Imam and Khateeb Masjid in Delaware, and we thank him for visiting our community and sharing this beneficial reminder.

Are you fasting today?

The Day of ‘Arafah is a gift from Allah a day where sins are forgiven, hearts are softened, and du‘a rises to the heavens. Some days come and go, but this is a day that can change a person forever.

Fast today with hope. Speak to Allah with sincerity. Ask Him for what is in your heart, even the things you never told anyone. Allah hears every whispered du‘a, every hidden pain, every silent tear.

This is the day to return back to Allah, to seek forgiveness, to ask for Jannah, peace, guidance, healing, and a beautiful ending.

Do not let this blessed day pass while your heart is distracted by the dunya. Perhaps one sincere du‘a on the Day of ‘Arafah becomes the reason Allah changes your life.

The Day of ‘Arafah is one of the greatest days in Islam a day of mercy, forgiveness, and answered du‘a. It is a day when hearts return to Allah with sincerity, humility, and hope.

On this blessed day, increase in du‘a, dhikr, Qur’an, charity, and sincere repentance. Ask Allah for everything your heart desires: forgiveness, guidance, good health, righteous family, success in this life and the next, and entrance into Jannah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ‘Arafah.”

And the best words to repeat are:

“Laa ilaaha illa Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lah”
“There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone without partner.”

This is a day to show weakness before Allah, to raise your hands with sincerity, and to believe that Allah can change your condition, forgive your sins, and open doors you never imagined.

Do not waste this blessed day. Fill it with remembrance of Allah, sincere du‘a, and hope in His endless mercy.
