There's a little sparrow or wren living in my blue birdhouse! She stuck her head out when we pulled out of the driveway this morning. I've found nests in it several times when I put it away for the winter, but I've never actually seen a bird in it until now.

I know that judge!

For the second time in three years, the Nottingham High School and Corcoran High School combined Mock Trial team has been named Onondaga County Mock Trial Champions! The team defeated Fayetteville-Manlius to claim the title – their second defeat of the suburban team in the tournament. The team will next compete at a regional level with the hope of qualifying for the state tournament. Congratulations to the team - Matias Romano, Caroline Menon, Henry Zhe-Heimerman, Myra Menon, Alex Minta, Ngan Nguyen, Amiah Crisler, Azmira Suljic, and Jamien DeSalvia… as well as the team’s legal advisors Peggy Conan and Ed Luban and team advisor Don Little!

So much for the solar eclipse in Greece, NY. The clouds rolled in around noon and all we got was a darkening of the skies (like dusk) and the birds stopped singing.

Despite being in the path of totality for the eclipse, nothing will be seen in the sky. It's wall-to-wall clouds; they moved in around noon.
