💙 The Church must be MORE THAN A SANCTUARY. It must be a people willing to carry one another through life’s heavy moments.

This past weekend, Southern Missionary Baptist Syracuse NY came together to help one of our golden members move, AND we are deeply thankful to a group of outstanding young men who without hesitation VOLUNTEERED to help us, from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Theta Xi Chapter.💪🏾

Though this picture may show one young man working, it reflects something much greater: real community, real service, and real HELP.

Faith must move beyond words. Love HAS TO become action.

NOT EVERY STORY faces the camera… some sit quietly in the row ahead of us.

This month, our church stepped again into Loretto nursing home for something simple, BINGO!

But it became something MORE: connection, dignity, and presence.

Behind every wheelchair is A LIFE that’s raised families, built communities, and carried faith through decades.

And in a culture that often MOVES TOO FAST, Southern Missionary Baptist chooses to slow down… to SERVE, to SEE, and SIT.

Because ministry is it’s LOUDEST when
it’s consistent and compassionate.

And here’s the question we’re all left with:
When life slows them down do we just move past them?

We DID NOT just play a game, we strengthened community, honored our seniors, and lived out the Gospel.
