III. 5:8-11 Christ's Return Should Cause the Saved to be Hopeful.

IV. Application:
1) Hope leads to expectation: Jesus is Coming, prepare yourself now!

2) Hope leads to holy living: Jesus is Coming, live like it!

3) Hope leads to godly passion: Jesus is Coming, proclaim it to others!

Main Point: We live with hope in this life because Christ lives and is coming again.

1) Hope is found in the promise of the Gospel: Jesus is Coming, repent and believe!

Paul's instructions on how to correct one another with respect to age and gender. Also, the proper ministry to widows that flows from the Gospel, that Christ saved us while we were helpless, therefore, we care for those who are helpless.

Application: How to grow in Personal Holiness?
1) To grow in holiness, you must seek to know Christ and follow Him.

2) To grow in holiness, you must actively strive to conform yourself to God’s word.

3) To grow in holiness, you must intentionally pursue personal purity.

4) To grow in holiness, you must grow in your knowledge of God.

5) To grow in holiness, you must learn to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
