🚨 TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1

Officials from Jackson County Emergency Services Agencies, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation, strongly advise that travel on Sunday (2/1) be limited to emergency personnel, road crews, and essential work-related travel only.

Even with crews working around the clock, there is still significant work that must continue to improve road conditions. Many roadways remain snow covered and icy, creating dangerous travel situations across the county.

Limiting travel not only helps emergency responders and road crews operate safely and efficiently, but also increases the safety of all citizens by reducing crashes and preventing vehicles from becoming stranded.
