Just finished a waterfall I threw together at our house to give it more curb appeal. Not bad for a quickie- love doing waterfalls as just sound amazing and tranquil to watch . Looks like it’s always been here hey ?

New house build = a blank canvas for a landscape designer.

Given full reins, We were asked to design, install and build…..

The entrance: We installed boulders, trees, shrubs, plants and flowers that greeted you as you drive in and wrapped around to the side of the house, we also included a custom retaining wall along one side of the driveway that matched the house siding with planting above the wall.

Installed some privacy trees in front of the house.

Installed a flagstone walkway from the garage to the deck steps incorporating black wood to match the house and installed an arbor at the entrance of the walkway.

We extended the deck an additional 15x10’

And then we were challenged with creating a memorial garden for her late husband so her and the children had a place to “be with him” in solitude. We didn’t want it to be doom and gloom and they love color so we made it as colorful as we could incorporating hand painted stepping stones, tons of lights, places to sit in silence and reflection while connecting with him, a custom water feature to soothe their souls in addition to honoring his love of music and playing the guitar by having a custom guitar made from a whiskey barrel (which we later found out he also loved whiskey) it was perfect!
We also built a wishing well for the kids, the 🪣 has pens and paper so they can write their daddy notes and drop in the wishing well.
Now here’s the kicker….
The entire memorial garden is done in “faux flowers & trees” (a first for us) so it will always remain colorful and will make them smile when they think of him because he took great pride in his garden. He definitely guided us through this process and we hope we made him proud 🙏🏼

A little clean up and grass then it will be all done. Will post night pictures with the lights on later.

Started a new large water fall . Can’t wait to see this coming down the hill . Will keep posted when finished. 👊

We’ve added a F350 to our arsenal for hauling equipment as well . Should make work a lot easier getting machines/ etc around.

We redid a fall that was just a stream . This was not done yet as can see but it’s turning out great .

Got home from work, chilled as you do on a Saturday, was heading to bed and saw a post at 10 pm dog needs help . Unhooked trailer and my shepherd who is 3/4 trained police dog went 45 minutes into mountains til 1am looking for this girl . No luck but not giving up. We looked everywhere and best at night as can see eyes from afar and even in bushes . Many eyes but no pup . 😢
