First United Methodist Kindergarten & Daycare is NOW HIRING!
We are looking for loving, dependable individuals who want to spend their days caring for some of the most valuable members of our community — our children.
We are currently seeking:
✅ Infant/Toddler Care Specialist, Full Time
✅ Substitute Preschool Teacher, Part-to-Full Time
Experience is wonderful, but it is not required. We are looking for people with a heart for children and a desire to deliver excellence in a Christian early childhood environment.
A few important details:
✅ Excellent attendance and dependability are required.
✅ You must be willing and able to actively engage with children and parents every day.
✅ This is active, hands-on work. Team members must be comfortable caring for all of the daily needs of children and helping maintain a clean, safe environment.
✅ Daily responsibilities include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, bending, stooping, and lifting, as well as spending time outdoors with children — including during Alabama's warmer months.
✅ Our campus is monitored by video for safety and security.
✅ Starting pay is $10.00/hour, with additional pay available for some certifications and experience.
✅ Early and late hours are available. Our program operates from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
✅ Lunches must be taken between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. — no exceptions.
✅ All offers of employment are contingent upon a criminal background check, drug screening, and reference checks.
✅ All employees are required to be CPR certified. If you aren't already certified, we'll provide a path to certification.
✅ We wear uniforms.
