St. Mary family,

I have exciting news for our parish to share. As some of you may be aware, the upcoming priest moves have been announced. I am excited to inform you that we are gaining a parochial vicar, Fr. Jared Twenty, here at the parish. It was also announced that I will be named Pastor here.

Fr. Twenty is going to be a perfect fit here. He comes with a lot of pastoral experience and has been around schools for much of his priesthood. He is coming off of a health leave of absence and is ready to get back into ministry. It'll be great to have him around. We've been friends for a few years; I'm excited for you to get to know him like I do and for him to help proclaim the Gospel for the Sycamore community. He will officially begin his assignment here on June 22, but he will be around slowly moving into the rectory beforehand. I know you'll give him as warm a welcome as you have given me.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community during Give DeKalb County, we not only reached our goal — we EXCEEDED our $15,000 fundraising goal! 🎉
