We invite you to join us Sunday, June 7, at 9 a.m. at All Saints' Church, Colorado City, or at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, Sweetwater, for the Second Sunday after Pentecost. The Reverend Edson Way will preach and lead our celebration of the Eucharist. We have begun the long season of Sundays after Pentecost. The color is green, a reminder of growth and discipleship. The Gospel for this Sunday is Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26. As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth; and he said to him, “Follow me.”
As we enter into June, may we be reminded of God’s love for all of us. All are blessed, all are beloved, and all are welcome at All Saints and St. Stephen’s.

A Memorial Day Prayer (adapted from the Episcopal Church's 1928 Book of Common Prayer)

05/24/2026

Let us pray:

O God, who on this day taught the hearts of your faithful people by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit: Grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Pentecost - This Sunday, May 24 - Services of Morning Prayer at All Saints' Church, 9 a.m. and at St. Stephen's Church, 11 a.m. All are welcome.

Today we feel the wind beneath our wings
Today the hidden fountain flows and plays
Today the church draws breath at last and sings
As every flame becomes a Tongue of praise.
This is the feast of fire,air, and water
Poured out and breathed and kindled into earth.
The earth herself awakens to her maker
And is translated out of death to birth.
The right words come today in their right order
And every word spells freedom and release
Today the gospel crosses every border
All tongues are loosened by the Prince of Peace
Today the lost are found in His translation.
Whose mother tongue is Love in every nation.

Our churches will worship together at a Rogation Service this Sunday, May 17, 10:30 a.m., at the Renderbrook Spade Ranch, near Colorado City. Our hosts are Father Edson and Jenny Way. In our service we will pray for all creation, for a good growing season, and for those who work to grow our food. A meal follows the service.

Almighty God,
we thank You for making the Earth fruitful,
so that it might produce what is needed for life.
Bless those who work in the fields;
give us seasonable weather;
and grant that we may all share the fruits of the Earth,
rejoicing in Your goodness;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
