Well, that’s a wrap for this week! We’ve done all we can for now until the trusses arrive.

A HUGE thank you to our EFC church family and everyone who came out to serve, work, sweat, and give their time to help build the EFC house at the Lifehouse Community. What we were able to accomplish this week is a perfect picture of what happens when our church family comes together with a heart to serve.

Every hammer swung, every wall built, every meal shared, and every hour given is making a difference. This house is more than just a building—it’s an opportunity to impact lives, and our church family is helping make that possible.

We’re so grateful for everyone who played a part, and we can’t wait to see this house finished and ready to serve someone in our community.

📢 KidMin Update!

Beginning this Sunday, September 6th, we’re making a temporary adjustment to our KidMin schedule:

🕤 9:30 AM: Infant–Kindergarten
🕚 11:15 AM: Infant–5th Grade

This isn’t the way we want things to be forever, but until we build up a dependable army of KidMin volunteers, this is the way it’s gotta be. 💚 We’re committed to serving our kids and families well, and we believe God is going to provide the people we need to make KidMin everything He’s called it to be.

If you’ve ever thought about serving with KidMin, now is the time! 🙌

🎧 Missed Sunday? You Can Still Catch It!

How do you know what God is saying to you? And how can you tell the difference between God’s voice, your own thoughts, and all the other voices competing for your attention?

This week in Foundations, we talked about how God still speaks—and how we can learn to recognize His voice. We unpacked:

📖 God speaks through Scripture — His voice will never contradict His Word.
🕊️ God guides through the Holy Spirit — Scripture gives us the boundaries; the Spirit gives us the direction.
👥 God confirms through wise counsel — we weren’t meant to navigate life alone.
❤️ God’s voice points us toward Jesus — conviction draws us back to Him; condemnation pushes us away.
👂 Recognizing God’s voice takes practice — the more familiar we become with His Word, the easier it is to recognize His voice.
🙌 Hearing God requires obedience — sometimes we’re not waiting for God to speak; we’re waiting for Him to agree with us.

And perhaps the biggest takeaway:

“Don’t ask for another word when you haven’t obeyed the last one.”

After a lot of prayer and careful consideration, we’re excited to introduce the eight people who will be heading to Zambia in 2027!
