Good morning!
Wanted to remind everyone of Hoboken’s 150 year celebration this Sunday, May 17th. We hope to see everyone there!
Services will begin at 10am in the sanctuary.
We will conclude our service with lunch on the grounds . Tables will be set up outside for lunch . Please, please note that Hoboken will not provide lunch. This is an old fashioned potluck that everyone brings for. Our special guests for the day, along with church leaders will be seated in our Educational building for the meal but as space is very limited everyone else can enjoy the outdoors just like 150 years ago probably!! So please bring a lunch that everyone can enjoy so there will be plenty and enjoy the company of family and friends not often seen, as we remember those already in God’s presence, and as we look forward to more time of worship and praise at Hoboken, as the Lord allows!⛪️

Due to the severe storms that are moving into our area this afternoon & into the evening, Hoboken Baptist Church will cancel all Wednesday night activities. Please help us spread the word.

Here’s a 9am Wednesday severe weather update..

I’ve made some adjustments to the timing as high resolution data continues to make slight changes to the start/stop time.

Strong to severe storms will begin to develop across northwest Alabama shortly after 1pm. A few supercell storms will likely develop across east Mississippi during the early afternoon, then spreading into west Alabama.

The cells will likely merge into a large line of heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening, ending from northwest to southeast overnight.

Storms will be capable of producing tornadoes, hail and damaging winds. The Storm Prediction Center has most of west Alabama outlined in a risk of an isolated strong tornado or two.

Here’s the timeline per our west Alabama Counties… You can also check the map.

2pm - 8pm for northwest Pickens, Lamar, Marion, Winston, Fayette and northwest Walker County.

4pm - 10pm for Pickens, Tuscaloosa, southeast Fayette, Walker, Sumter, Greene, Hale, northwest Bibb County.

4pm - 12am for Marengo, Choctaw, southeast Hale, Perry and southeast Bibb County.
