As we come to the final ten days of Ramadan, a friendly reminder to pay your Zakat Al-fitr before the end of Ramadan.

Zakat Al-fitr is $15 per person for each person in your family. You can pay this to FIC. Write in the memo of the check Zakat Al-fitr and give to a member of management committee or Dr Tarakji. Or use the online link: https://app.flintislamiccenter.com/zakat-ul-fitr

RAMADAN MUBARAK!

The first day of Ramadan is Wednesday February 18. May Allah bless the community and the Muslim Ummah worldwide in this blessed month.

Taraweeh prayers will start after Isha prayer at FIC starting Tuesday February 17 at 7:45 pm.

For the month of Ramadan all Isha prayers will be at FIC, not Dyewood Center. Fajr prayers will remain at Dyewood Center.

Fajr will be at 6:30 am starting Wednesday February 18.

Emily McElmurry, Director of Vocational Services for Peckham, will present on Peckham's programs and available resources, including employment opportunities for immigrants and refugees. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Emily has been working in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation for over ten years in public, private and non-profit sectors. As Director of Vocational Services, she leads a team of vocational rehabilitation professionals working with youth and adults with disabilities. Emily has a passion for helping others reach their full potential and has dedicated her career to helping individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment. Emily has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University. Emily is a certified Rehabilitation Counselor a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a passion for guiding employers to include people with disabilities in their Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.

Eid Mubarak! Eid Al-Adha will be on Friday, June 6th.

Eid prayer will be at 9:00 am with Takbiraat at 8:30 am. Eid Prayer will be outside at FIC so please bring a mat to sit on.

Refreshments will be provided after Eid prayer insha’allah.

Please carpool as parking will be full and very crowded.

Day of Arafah will be Thursday June 5. It is a sunna to fast the day of Arafah. The Prophet (s) said: “The fasting of the day will erase the sins of the past year and the sins of the upcoming year”.

Eid Mubarak! Eid Al-Fitr will be on Sunday, March 30!

The Flint Islamic Center wishes the whole community a blessed and joyous Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid Prayer will be at 9 am at FIC. Takbiraat will start at 8:30 am.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided after the Eid Prayer.

Please arrive early if you wish to have a good place to sit for the Eid Prayer.

Please CARPOOL. Parking will be very full!

Also remember to pay your Zakat Al-fitr of $15 per person BEFORE Eid prayer.

Ramadan Mubarak from the Flint Islamic Center to our entire community!

Ramadan will start on Saturday, March 1. Taraweeh will be after Isha on Friday, February 28. Isha prayer will be at FIC at 8 pm.

Saturdays will be the FIC community Iftars. If you wish to sponsor a community Iftar or rent the facility for a private Iftar please contact Dr Nael Tarakji.

Please mark your calendars for the annual FIC fundraiser on Saturday, March 22 insha’allah.

Eid Mubarak! A reminder Eid Al-Adha is this Wednesday. Prayer will be at 8:30 am at FIC ia. It will be OUTDOORS. Takbiraat will be at 8:00 am.

Please CARPOOL as parking will be very limited!

On Tuesday June 27, this is the Day of Arafah, a very blessed day of the year. It is a strong sunna to fast this day. The reward is forgiveness of our sins the year before and the year after as well.

On Eid day there will be Fun Day at Defy Trampoline park from 2 to 4 pm insha’allah. $20 per jumper. See flyer below for more details.

On Friday night there will Eid Fireworks at FIC. Fireworks will be after Mughrib at FIC insha’allah

On Saturday there will be the Eid Family Picnic at Flushing County Park. From 1 to 5 pm insha’allah. Bring you family for good food and fun! See flyer below for more details. If you are interested in helping with sponsoring the picnic, please contact Br Ekbal Najjar at 810-410-8150.

Eid Mubarak to everyone in the FIC Communtiy!

In these blessed days, it is best in increase in good deeds and worship and fasting, especially fasting the Day of Arafah, which is next Tuesday June 27.

Eid Al-Adha will be on the 10th day of Dhul Hijja which will be next Wednesday June 28.

Eid Salat will be outside at FIC and will be at 8:30 am with Takbiraat at 8:00 am.

As always please carpool as parking will be full.
