☀️ Save the Date: Volunteer Appreciation & Summer Kickoff Picnic! 🍔
On Sunday, June 14, we are wrapping up our program year with a double celebration, and the entire Swarthmore Presbyterian Church family is invited!

⛪ Part 1: Volunteer Appreciation Sunday
When: 10:15 AM

Where: In the Sanctuary

What: We pause during worship to give thanks and ask God's blessing for the countless hours, energy, and love poured out by our amazing volunteers. To our teachers, music makers, ushers, tech crew, committee members, kitchen helpers, and everyone working behind the scenes—thank you!

🧺 Part 2: Summer Kickoff Picnic
When: Immediately after worship (11:15 AM)

Where: Fellowship Hall & the Courtyard

Cost: Suggested contribution of $5 per person / $10 per family

Parish Life is firing up the grill with burgers (including veggie options), hotdogs, and drinks. The playground will be open for the kids, and we can’t wait to share a meal together!

🥗 Potluck Details (By Last Name)
To help round out the buffet, please bring a family-sized picnic dish in a ready-to-serve bowl or platter based on your last name:

A–G: Bring a Dessert 🍰

H–S: Bring a Salad or Side Dish 🥔

T–Z: Bring Fruit, Chips, or Pretzels 🥨

We have a packed week of community, worship, and celebration ahead! Check out a few of the highlights below and make plans to join us:

✨ Pentecost Sunday & All-Church Picnic Celebrate Pentecost with us this Sunday! Following worship, we’ll gather for our All-Church Picnic and a vibrant Drum Circle at 11:15 AM. Bring your energy and your spirit! 🥁🍔

🚌 SPC Bus Service
On Sunday, May 24, the SPC bus will be running to bring residents of White Horse Village to the church in time for our 10:15 AM worship service.

🤝 Community & Fellowship
From serving at the Open Table Saturday @ Chester Eastside to upcoming events like the Swarthmore Memorial Day Observance, the Delco Pride Parade, and the Chester Peace Walk & Block Party, there are so many ways to connect and give back.

🔥 PENTECOST IS COMING! 🔥

Join us this Sunday, May 24, as we celebrate Pentecost and the gift of the Holy Spirit moving through our lives! We have a beautiful, energy-filled morning planned for all ages, celebrating the rich diversity of our community.

Here is what’s happening:
⛪ Lord’s Day Worship: * 8:00 AM in Loeffler Chapel

10:15 AM in the Sanctuary (Featuring a dramatic reading with our children and youth!)

☀️ All Church Picnic & Drum Circle: * 11:15 AM in Fellowship Hall

Enjoy a great meal together, followed by a community drum circle led by Eric Berley! No experience needed, all skill levels are welcome, and instruments will be provided. (Suggested contribution: $5 per person / $10 per family).

🎈 Don't Forget: * Wear RED to celebrate the flames of the Holy Spirit!

Weather permitting, we’ll head out to the Harvard Avenue lawn at the end of worship to sing, dance with bubbles and silks, and drum together.

This is the perfect Sunday to invite your friends, family, and neighbors. We can't wait to celebrate the joy and rhythm of our faith together!
