Join us for the Welcome Back BBQ at the ABC Strath Haven House! 🍔✨

If you’re still in the mood for some more barbecue fun after our Kickoff Sunday picnic on, September 13, head over to the ABC House later on that afternoon around 5:00 pm! All members of our congregation, along with family and friends, are warmly invited to keep the celebration going.

Come reconnect with the ABC community, welcome our scholars back for another exciting school year, and enjoy an evening of food, fellowship, and fun.

Location: ABC Strath Haven House (731 Harvard Ave, Swarthmore — next to SPC)

Guests are encouraged to bring a dish, side, dessert, or beverage to share. We hope to see you there as we extend our hospitality and support to these remarkable students!

🎉 Join Us for Kickoff Sunday on September 13, 2026! 🎉

We are thrilled to begin a new program year at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church! Join us for a full day of faith, fellowship, music, and community for all ages.

📅 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

• 8:00 AM – Early Worship (Loeffler Chapel)

A 45-minute service featuring guided Scripture discussion led by pianist accompaniment.

• 9:00 AM – Adult Education (The Study)

Series Kickoff: Masterpieces Every Christian Should Know: Let Your Faith Be Moved by the Masterpieces (running Sept 13 – Oct 18). Explore architecture, plays, novels, films, and music shaping faith and culture. No preparation required!

• 9:30 AM – Chancel Choir Rehearsal (Sanctuary)

Interested in Music Ministry? Check out rehearsal options for all ages:

Youth Singers & Instrumentalists: Hosanna! (K–1st), Alleluia! (2nd–5th), Agape Singers & Chamber Groups (5th–9th) rehearse Sundays.

Bell Choir: Rehearses Wednesdays (10:15–11:30 AM).

Chancel Choir: Open to adults & 10th–12th graders, rehearses Thursdays (7:30–9:00 PM).

• 10:15 AM – Lord’s Day Worship (Sanctuary)

Gather together as the choir returns! Special Bible presentations will take place for our 1st and 5th graders.

• 10:15 AM – Children’s Ministry Kickoff (Sanctuary ➔ Godly Play Room)

Bible presentations for 1st & 5th graders, books for families with 3rd–5th graders, followed by a story, feast, and parent discussion in the Godly Play Room!

• 11:15 AM – Annual Fall Picnic Lunch (Fellowship Hall)

Enjoy burgers (including veggie options) and hot dogs off the grill! Bring a side, salad, or dessert to share.

🌱 Earth Care Note: SPC is launching Commercial Compost Pick-Up for all organic waste!

• 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Youth Group: Family Meeting (Fellowship Hall)

For youth (6th–12th grade) and their parents. Meet Pastor David, enjoy dinner, play games, and learn about our 2026–2027 schedule, summer trips, and volunteer opportunities.
