Sometimes in life, we’re going to find ourselves sandwiched right in the middle of Psalm 23.

We will all, at some point, crawl through a valley of life scared, confused, and unsteady. Maybe even angry.

But we can’t forget the rest of the Psalm.
Out of six verses, only one is dark.

The other five reassure us in detail of all the ways God is carrying us and protecting us.

Some days are heavy, and that’s real life.
Real-life circumstances create real-life testimonies of how our worst days can end up becoming a blessing.

Because God promises to be there through it all.

At some point, all the things we rushed around trying to accomplish will fade. The emails, meetings, schedules, and stuff we collected will not be the measure of our lives. What will matter is who we poured into and how much of our lives we were willing to give away.

It is opening your hands and saying, “God, You know my desires. You know my hopes. You know my dreams. My life is Yours.”

And it is only possible because God has been so gracious to us.

Some seasons will test what you believe about God.
When prayers seem unanswered and your heart is worn thin, hold to what is true: God is still with you, still faithful, and still at work.
Take the next step trusting Him.

You may not understand what you are facing right now, but you are not facing it alone. Even in the middle of the confusion, the hurt, and the questions, God is still with you.
Are you letting your circumstances shape your view of God, or are you letting Him shape your response?

An altar is a place of sacrifice.
That can be a physical location.
It can also be a place inside your heart.
And it can look like a million different things.

Where you can hand control over to God in the mess that life can be.
Or you can devote your wins back to Him.

Either way, it's a place that you give things up.

Nothing is wasted there.
The good and the bad.
It all matters to Him.
