"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." (Matthew 7:7)
Today I want to share with you how Heavenly Father seeks us in the sweetest ways when we need it most. Not long ago, I was going through a very complex personal process; it was a rainy night, one of those that seems to reflect the burden one carries in the soul. In the middle of that storm, something happened that I can only call a small everyday miracle: on a Saturday night, some sisters from the Church called me — Sister Richins and Kaneen — with so much love. They were like messenger angels. They invited me to attend the meeting on Sunday. At that moment, I didn’t know that call was the answer to a silent prayer.
That same night, after the call, I had a dream that changed my perspective. I saw my mom. She, with that serenity that only the spirit possesses, gave me a clear and loving instruction: _"Park now... I’ll wait for you tomorrow at church, I’ll be there."_ That message was the balm my heart needed. I understood that she is not only okay, but she is waiting for me on the path of faith, encouraging me to keep moving forward with my covenants.
Attending on Sunday wasn’t just fulfilling an invitation; it was reencountering the promise of baptism. It happened a short time after attending church — I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. I felt that the Lord was calling me to wash away my sorrows and to renew my commitment to Him. I understood that baptism is that door that unites us with our families for eternity and that, upon crossing it, we do not walk alone. That baptism had also been revealed to me in dreams, where there were people dressed in white and it was as distinct as I had dreamed it.
I testify that God uses His servants — like those sisters who called on a Saturday night — to rescue us. I know that my mother lives and that the Plan of Salvation is real. She was waiting for me at church, and I know that the Savior also waits for each one of us with open arms, no matter how strong the rain is outside. Families are eternal, and today more than ever, my faith is my refuge.
