Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

In Celebrate Recovery, we hold tight to certain mottos that carry us through the hard days. The one that resonates most with me is this: "God never wastes a hurt." And we find that truth woven right through today's verses. Scripture lovingly reveals God as the Father of compassion, or the Father of mercies as some translations state. He’s also the God of all comfort. But here's the profound part: He doesn't comfort us just for our own peace. He comforts us so we can turn around and pass that same healing on to others. My friends, my chronic back pain is no picnic, but I thank God for it daily — because He has taken my suffering and turned it into a ministry of empathy and encouragement to others. That's what He does! He takes what broke us and uses it to build someone else up. Your story matters. Your testimony of how God carried you through might be the very thing that convinces someone else they can be carried, too. ~ Pastor Bill

Scripture, Psalm 103:11-12, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

From the moment we open our eyes to the moment we close them, God's love is at work in our lives. It lifts us through our hardest seasons, restores us when we fall, and holds us close in our darkest moments. Rick Warren said it well: "God's love is like an ocean. You can see its beginning, but not its end." My friends, His love has no ceiling, no expiration, no limit. His faithfulness is not confined to one generation; it is written into the story of every soul that has ever called on His name. Let this Psalm stir something in you today. Count the blessings you carry. Lift your voice with gratitude. Praise the God whose love and grace has broken every chain that once held you captive. Praise God for the love that sets us free!!! ~ Pastor Bill

Scripture Jeremiah 33:3 ‘’’Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’”

Take a moment to reflect on the profound insights you have just received. As a Christian, you are granted the extraordinary privilege of ongoing communion with God. In light of today’s message, let’s explore three essential truths together. First, consider His Invitation: “Call to me.” God treasures every moment you spend in His presence, and He is always ready to listen. Second, ponder His Proclamation: “I will answer you.” This is His enduring promise, assuring you that He not only hears your prayers but actively responds to them. Lastly, embrace His Resolution: “I will tell you great and unsearchable things.” This revelation reminds you that His plans for you transcend your wildest expectations. Therefore, approach Him with unwavering confidence, leaving behind any doubts. Avoid trying to dictate your desires; instead, trust in His ability to deliver outcomes that surpass your greatest hopes. Place your faith in God, for He is capable of achieving what only God can achieve. . ~ Pastor Bill
