The dawn of a new day for The UMC has broken, and the entire connection is seeking to be faithful in this season of change. As such, the Executive Committee of the Western Jurisdiction Leadership Team, made up of members from the College of Bishop, Committee on Episcopacy, and the Leadership Team is calling the Western Jurisdiction into a time of prayer. We offer the following “Call to Prayer” for our communal prayer as we seek God’s guidance for the future of the Western Jurisdiction.

Sunday, May 19th, we celebrate Pentecost; often called the birthday of the church. The two red flames on the UMC cross represent the two flames of the spirit descending upon the disciples. What a gift to be able to communicate in a way that others understood!

When disasters happen, your Cal-Nev Conference deploys Early Response Teams (ERTs) to assist with cleanup and immediate repairs. If you would like to become an ERT, the in-person session will be Saturday, June 1, 8:30am-5pm (8:15am coffee & check-in) at Dixon United Methodist Church: 209 N. Jefferson Street, Dixon, CA 95620. You will become an UMCOR trained and badged responder.
