Howling Dragon Zendo A monk asked "What is the Way?" Xiangyan replied, "A dragon howling in a withered tree.”

Howling Dragon Zendo is a setting for authentic Zen training in the lineage of Eihei Dogen Zenji, the founder of the Soto Zen Sect in Japan. The teacher in residence is Daikan James Bastien, a dharma successor of Roshi Bernard Tetsugen Glassman, founder of the Zen Peacemaker Order.
