What a fantastic start to the 2026–2027 school year! Thank you to our students, families, teachers, staff, and administrators for making Day 1 a success.

When my workday ended Friday I was tired and still work to do before the sing began on Saturday. It was such a beautiful day but I wasnt very chipper cause I was tired...so I felt like I had a stank attitude. Yep me..lol

Got everything set up and had some time before folks started coming in, so I went to my car and thought Id take a short nap.
Fixed my seat to lay back so I was comfortable and closed my eyes. I even set my alarm for 30 min. thinking maybe that would help my attitude if I just had a few minutes nap.

E V's bus turned in the drive and all I heard was a horn blowing loudly. Lol
Ray pops his head out of the building and said..your alarm just went off. 😃

So I get out of the car, go in and start cooking. EV came in, set up equipment and started doing a sound check. When they start singing...it was like a peace came over me and my attitude wasnt the same..

Needless to say....it turned out to be a Weekend of blessings! HOPE, Tony Rowell and Eternal Vision at HMP and Woodlawn Baptist. Church.

There is just something about music that soothes the soul and lifts your spirits.. especially Gospel.

I am grateful that I've had a place where I could enjoy great music, in my own hometown for
15 years now. I appreciate Ms. Freda Jones for allowing me to be a part of her ministry. I truly enjoy being at HMP.

I've had the privilege of meeting so many new people and listen to some awesome talented singers/songwriters that have become great friends.

Praying this year will be the best year ever at HMP.
We began with an awesome lineup in Jan.

Feb.28th we will have The Dixie Echoes back with us!
