You don’t panic the way you used to. This is not because it doesn’t hurt, but because you’ve seen God come through too many times to doubt Him now.

Tomorrow, February 1, 2026, at 10:30 we will be hearing about doing justice, embracing love, and walking humbly with our God from Micah 6:8, and Matthew 5:1-12, in our sermon: "Does Our Walk, Support Our Talk, As a Christian?" You won't want to miss it as we bring the Bible message from the past to the future and how we can follow Jesus yet today.
Before this we will be learning more about Jesus in the Adult Bible Study at 9:00 in the library, and the youth will be having Sunday school at 9:30. Followed by Coffee and fellowship at 10:00. Come join our church family and fill up on coffee and goodies for your bodies before filling up on Spiritual food in worship. Bring your Bibles and join us in the scriptures. See you all there.

Surrounded in Prayer--Week 22

Prayer intention: Pray that the teachers will not grow weary in doing good and that their commitment to excellence and discipline will not wane.

Bible reading: Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up.”

Prayer of Thanksgiving: 2nd Corinthians 9:8 “Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work.” Thankful for the blessings this week…. Name them.

Class specifically praying for this week, Freshmen.

If God isn’t in it, we don’t want it.

Not because we’re afraid—but because we’ve learned what life feels like without Him.

We’ve chased things that looked right and realized peace was missing. We’ve said yes too quickly and paid for it with our joy.

So now we pray differently.

God, remove what distracts us. Interrupt what isn’t from You. Close doors we’re trying to force open.

We don’t want success without Your presence.
We don’t want progress without Your peace.
We don’t want anything that pulls us away from You.

Teach us to wait.
Teach us to trust.
Teach us to love Your will more than our own.

If You’re not in it—we’re okay letting it go.

Some nights I’m just tired, Lord. Tired of holding on, tired of waiting, tired of listening for answers that seem wrapped in silence. I confess the moments I want to see proof, to feel Your presence in something tangible. But faith, real faith, rests in what I cannot see or hear. Tonight, I’m choosing trust over evidence, surrender over certainty. Because even when my prayers seem to hang in the air, You are moving in ways I can’t imagine. I’ll let Your presence be enough, even in the quiet. God, thank You for working while I rest.

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him." (Psalm 37:7)

Many of us are settling into the rhythms of a new year. Worshiping together is one way we pause, give thanks, and remember we don’t walk this journey alone.

United Methodist congregations gather this morning to pray, sing, learn, and serve—rooted in God’s grace and open to all. Wherever you are on your faith journey, you’re welcome.

Some seasons try to pull the ground from under me, and I find myself just sitting, heart heavy, searching for comfort. It’s in those quiet places: sometimes on the floor, sometimes with tears: that God’s Word lands different.

Scripture doesn’t always remove the storm, but it reminds me I’m never alone in it.

Have you ever had a verse carry you through a hard time? I would love to hear your story: let’s encourage each other.

(Psalm 34:18)
