United Presbyterian Church, located at 229 N. 28th St., Superior, WI, is an inclusive community focused on the love and Spirit of God. Formed out of a spirit of teamwork in 1998, UPC is a merger of First Presbyterian Church and Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church, with the

Itasca Presbyterian congregation joining to create one united Presbyterian Church to serve the entire Superior community. The congregation supports multiple internal and external mission projects and views itself as truly a church of the community. Several outside groups utilize the 15,000 square foot facility as UPC is a barrier free complex, allowing access to all people. Worshippers enter the facility directly into the open narthex that visually and physically connects with the three functional areas: worship, education-administration and fellowship.

Hi United! Fall Small Group Sign-ups are available! You can pick one up from church or download the form from this post. Please fill out a form and return to Jenna with $12 by September 20. Groups and start dates are listed below. If none of the meeting times work for you, please put a note on your sign-up sheet and we'll see about creating a 4th group hosted at church or making sure you have a study partner. Groups:

Tuesdays 1-2:30pm; starting October 6

Wednesdays 6:30-8pm; starting October 7

Thursdays 6:30-8pm; starting October 1 (4 spots left in this group!)

This Sunday will be Laura’s final Sunday serving at United Presbyterian Church. During worship, we will take time to honor and appreciate her five years of dedicated service to our congregation. We will still be holding the luncheon on August 9 after worship, but we want to make sure Laura’s years of service are recognized on their own during worship this Sunday.

Please join us as we celebrate Laura and all she has given to our church community.

Hello everyone! UPC is back open today. Our rooftop HVAC unit has been successfully replaced, and we’re grateful for everyone involved who helped complete the work safely. Also, a thank you to Cam Campbell for the great picture.

Just a reminder that the entire church campus is CLOSED today as we get a new HVAC unit for the sanctuary! A huge thank you to our Building & Grounds team for their research and work on this Immense project.

We are so proud of our Young Adult Advisory Delegate, Lily Q! She’s currently representing United Presbyterian and the Presbytery of Northern Waters at the General Assembly of the PC(USA) in Milwaukee!
Here’s a blurb from her on her work this year:
“Hi, my name is Lily Quinn. I was selected by my presbytery to be a Young Adult Advisory Delegate, or YAAD for short, in the 227th PCUSA General Assembly being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this June. I am very excited for this opportunity and the role I have been given. This year, I am a part of the General Assembly Operations committee. We work on electing and reelecting Moderators & Co-moderators, stated clerks, and other officials in different presbyteries and their communities. Before we get to elect or even make any decisions, we get to virtually meet and discuss with the members we may be electing. Which I think is pretty cool to be able to put a face to a name and know who you’re actually electing. We are also working to fine-tune the details and logistics of any future General Assemblies to ensure everything is in smooth and working order. More will be discussed in the next few days when we meet in Milwaukee, and I am very excited for what is to come. Once again, thank you so much for this opportunity!“

Rainforest Falls- Vacation Bible School starts tonight at 4:45 pm with a free dinner at United for the kids! Pastor Brett met Gary de Snake in the hall… come see him for yourself! Many thanks to Mike Petite for making such an excellent snake and to all the volunteers who have helped decorate….Melinda Y, Kirsten S, Connie N, Cheri T, and others!

Tonight kids a part of VBS will meet a real parrot too! ✨

Hello United,
I wanted to personally update you about some changes that are coming in the life of our family and the life of the church. They are filled with both joy and sadness. We shared this update with The Session (our Elders/leadership) on Friday, May 29, and the congregation this past Sunday, May 31.

Please reach out to the church office or us (Laura & Brett) directly with any questions. I hope the letter linked below answers many of them. Many of you will have also received this in your email.

I am so deeply grateful for each of you, the ministry we've done together, and noticing where God has been and is clearly still at work. We are praying for you in this transition.
