”And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.“
S. John 1:14
notice it says that the GLORY that we behold in the word/logos IS rooted in the truth that he’s the SON begotten from the father
”And now, O FATHER, glorify thou ME (the son) with thine own self with THE GLORY which I had with thee BEFORE the world was.“
S. John 17:5
if we say that the word/logos “became the son” by his incarnation (or baptism, or resurrection, it truly doesn’t matter, all are erroneous ideas)
then we are saying the glory that christ shared with the father ISNT rooted in the fact that he is “the only (eternally) begotten son of god”
the most obvious logical point to make is that if the father is eternally called father, that implies he must eternally have a son (not an ambiguous force souly called word or logos)
if we desire “the faith of the son of god” yet we say the name “son” is a created name given to the second person of the godhead after he enter the world…we actually dismiss the true faith that existed in the son of god’s heart before all of creation
and thus that faith would be a created one, not an eternal one. how could jesus cry out “ABBA” on the cross, expect it be the same faith from all eternity. the same glory he shared with the father from before.
not to mention, if we say “father and son” is a created human relationship only meant to reveal “whatever” the trinity actually is we’ve lost all sight of “family theology”
“before creation there was the trinity. god is love, so we must ask ourselves Who did the father love? he loved the son and the spirit” -bertie britts
now read that same verse from the top again:
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, *what glory?* the GLORY as of the only BEGOTTEN *as a son* from the FATHER), full of grace and truth.“
S. John 1:14
