Saint Luke 8:17 KJV
For nothing is secret, that shall not be manifest: neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come aboard
This is true in any given situation, no matter who you are. You may get by for a while, but eventually your deeds will catch up with you. The old patriarchs and matriarchs would say "what's done in the dark will surely come to the light'"
Just when you think you are in the clear, your deeds will surely find you out.
A prime explain of this is recorded in, 2 Sameul Chapter 11.
King David slept with Bathsheba (Uriah's wife). Uriah was away from home fighting for Israel. The same place King David should have been, but he stays home. The king is in the palace on the rooftop when he saw Bathsheba. Just to summary in up. Bathsheba became pregnant. Now, King David devised a plan to cover up his deeds.
When the king thought he had gotten away with his deeds, God sent the Prophet Nathan, and he deeds were exploded.
What's done in the dark will come to the light.
