Grief and Hope: N.T. Wright on Christian Mourning

Paul's words challenge the idea that Christians shouldn't grieve. The point isn't to suppress sorrow, but to grieve with hope, unlike the world's hopeless grief. As N.T. Wright suggests, not grieving is to deny love, for grief is love's shadow. We mourn creation's brokenness and sin's wages, but always with the assurance of Christ's resurrection.
