Hymns of Grace Hymns of Grace is a ministry of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, CA. Our mission is to assist the body of Christ in personal and corporate worship.

“How Great Thou Art” began as a Swedish poem written by Carl Boberg in the 1880s, after a powerful storm caused him to reflect on the greatness of God. Years later, missionary Stuart K. Hine helped shape the English hymn we know today, including the final verse about Christ’s return.

This hymn takes us from the wonder of creation, to the cross, and finally to the day when Christ will return. Each verse gives us another reason to consider who God is and respond in worship.

May we never lose our sense of wonder at the greatness of God. May these words remind us to worship Him with gratitude now as we look forward to the day when we will see Christ face to face.

The hope of every believer is the return of Christ and the joy of being with Him forever.

Until that day, we wait with hope, faithfully following Him and looking forward to the day when we will see Him face to face and worship Him forever.

Reginald Heber wrote “Holy, Holy, Holy” for Trinity Sunday, drawing from the worship of God described in Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4. The tune NICAEA was later composed by John B. D***s and named after the Council of Nicaea.

The hymn centers our attention on who God is. He is holy, eternal, merciful, mighty, and worthy of the praise of all creation. Each verse points us to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the one true God in three Persons.

Psalm 40 gives us words to sing of the Lord’s mercy and faithfulness. The God who hears the cry of His people is the God who draws them from the pit, sets their feet upon the rock, and gives them a new song of praise.

As we sing this psalm, we remember what God has done and respond with thanksgiving. He is our deliverer and our sure foundation. Psalm 40 calls us to trust in Him, remember His faithfulness, and praise Him for the wonderful works of His hand.

Psalms of Grace was created to help the church sing all 150 Psalms and treasure the riches of God’s Word through song. Throughout August, select editions of Psalms of Grace are on sale.

In Christ, the believer has a sure and lasting hope. Our salvation rests in the One who took our sin upon Himself, bore the wrath we deserved, conquered death, and rose victorious from the grave.

Because we belong to Christ, we can face both life and death with confidence. Our guilt has been answered at the cross, our eternity is secure in Him, and no power of hell or scheme of man can ever pluck us from His hand.

May we live each day with this assurance, resting in Christ’s finished work and trusting the One who will faithfully keep us until He returns or calls us home.

Created to help believers sing, read, pray, and meditate on the Psalms, Psalms of Grace includes all 150 Psalms along with hundreds of musical settings, short commentaries, adapted prayers, and devotional material.

The Pew Edition is available for $20, and the Loose Leaf Edition is available for $30 throughout August.

A limited number of the Limited Edition are also available for $30. Only 34 copies remain, and once they’re gone, they will no longer be offered.

Praise the Lord! Ye Heavens Adore Him has encouraged Christians to praise the Lord for generations. This hymn echoes the truths of Psalm 148 by calling all creation to magnify the God who is glorious, faithful, and worthy of all praise.

Every promise God has made is certain because His character never changes. Through Christ, He has given His people victory over sin and death, and our hope is secure in Him. These truths give us every reason to lift our voices in worship.

Lord, may our lives reflect the joy of those who have been redeemed by Your grace.

These words remind us that every reason to praise God is rooted in who He is and what He has done. His promises never fail, His salvation is sure, and His name is worthy of praise from all creation. May our hearts join that chorus today with gratitude, confidence, and joyful worship.

What a comfort to know that Christ is ours forevermore. In Him, fear gives way to hope, our hearts have found their true treasure, and we can rejoice knowing that we will one day walk beside our King.

The cross accomplished what we never could. Christ bore the wrath our sin deserved, shed His blood for our forgiveness, and brought us near to God. We were once His enemies, and through His perfect sacrifice, we have been welcomed to His table.

May these truths deepen your gratitude for Christ and lead you to worship Him with joy.
