Friday Faith Reflection

Today we remember.

Twenty-five years ago, the attacks of September 11, 2001 took nearly 3,000 lives and forever changed countless families.

This photo of the 9/11 Memorial reminds us that behind every name is a person — someone loved, someone missed, someone whose life mattered.

“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
— Matthew 5:4

Today, let us pray for those who died, for the families who continue to carry their loss, for those whose lives were forever changed, and for all who answered the call to serve.

May we also ask God to make us instruments of His peace in our own families, communities, and world.

We remember. We pray. We trust in God's mercy.

🐾 EVEN OUR BINGO CREW IS TAKING LABOR DAY OFF!

Just a reminder that there will be NO Monday Night Bingo tomorrow, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. 🇺🇸

Our crew is getting a little extra rest, and we hope you enjoy the holiday too!

Friday Faith Reflection

The face you see here is the photographic negative of the image found on the Shroud of Turin — a centuries-old linen cloth bearing the faint image of a man who was crucified. Many Christians believe the Shroud may be the burial cloth of Jesus.

Whether we look upon the Shroud as a historical mystery or a sacred reminder, the image draws our attention to something we know with certainty: Christ willingly suffered and gave His life for us.

“By his wounds we were healed.”
— 1 Peter 2:24

As another week comes to a close, take a moment to look at this image and remember the depth of Christ's love for you.

May that love shape the way we love and serve others this weekend.

🌅 Every sunrise is a reminder that God gives us another beginning.

Whatever this past week held — successes, disappointments, worries, or things left undone — we don't have to carry it all into tomorrow.

As the weekend begins, may we place this past week in God's hands, be grateful for the blessings we received, and trust Him with whatever comes next.

There is something powerful about coming together in prayer. Each person arrives with different joys, burdens, and hopes, yet we are united as one family in Christ.
