Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic School Sacred Hearts School is a Pre-3 through 8th grade Catholic School serving 470 students in the Sun Prairie, WI community.

We believe that as members of a Catholic community, students will witness and experience the love of God in a safe and caring atmosphere. This environment provides learning experiences, which allow each child the opportunity for personal growth. The family, school and church work as partners in this endeavor.

Our 8th graders put their creativity and engineering skills to the ultimate test! Students designed and built their own contraptions with one very important goal โ€” protect that egg at ALL costs! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Mr. Schantz took to the rooftop and sent those creations soaringโ€ฆ and let's just say, some eggs had a much better landing than others! ๐Ÿ˜„ A thumbs up from Mrs. Henn meant your egg survived and earned you some well-deserved extra points! ๐Ÿ‘

This year's event brought out a crowd: students watched on the playground to cheer, gasp, and celebrate their fellow 8th graders. The energy was AMAZING! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our amazing 1st graders kicked off the day in the most exciting way...some lucky students who won at our school auction got to ride a fire truck to school! ๐Ÿš’โœจ

From head to toe, everyone showed up in RED: red clothes, red shades ๐Ÿ˜Ž, and even red snacks! It's safe to say this class is totally "RED"y to take on 2nd grade next year!

We are so proud of these incredible kids and can't wait to see everything they accomplish. Keep shining, 1st grade! โค๏ธ

๐Ÿซ๐Ÿคฟ What a Friday in 4K!

Our little learners had TWO amazing visitor experiences last Friday! First, a special dad from our 4K class โ€” a lab technician at Clasen Quality Chocolate โ€” came in to teach students all about how chocolate is made... and yes, there were samples! ๐Ÿ™Œ White chocolate, sea salt caramel, mint chocolate, star-shaped, confetti... the list goes on. Lucky kids!

Then, Miss Tina and Miss Makayla from daycare wowed both 4K classes with a presentation on scuba diving! They brought along their incredible collection of sea creatures gathered over the years โ€” horseshoe crabs, sand dollars, shark teeth, starfish, and more. The highlight? Miss Makayla suited up in her full scuba gear and dunked her head into a big clear container of water. Safe to say, the kids went wild! ๐Ÿฆˆ

This Memorial Day, our Sacred Hearts Kindergarteners honored the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Each little hand painted a poppy to create this beautiful wreath that is a reminder that even our youngest learners understand the importance of gratitude and remembrance.

Our Bruno Board students had an amazing time at "Government Day" at Sun Prairie City Hall! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

They got an up-close look at how our city serves the community with visits to the Fire Station, Police Department, and EMS. In the afternoon, students stepped into the role of city leaders during a mock city council meeting, where they debated whether to enact a nightly teen curfew โ€” and after some lively discussion, the measure passed!

It was a fun and educational day, and the council meeting was a definite favorite. The students loved getting a real feel for how local government works. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

A big thank you to the City of Sun Prairie and all the first responders who made the day so memorable for our students!

It was a wonderful evening spent recognizing our student-athletes, thanking our dedicated coaches, parents, and celebrating another incredible year of Sacred Hearts athletics. None of this would be possible without the many volunteers, donors, and supporters who help provide uniforms, equipment, tournament opportunities, and so much more. One of our middle school students asked if she could share her experience living in Hawaii for four years because our 7th grade geography class learned about the indigenous people of New Zealand, and she recognized a lot of similarities in the cultures!

Mrs. M was THRILLED this student took the initiative and had the confidence to share a part of her life with her peers that many donโ€™t know much about- the Polynesian culture! Fun fact: there are LOTS of cultural overlaps between the Mฤori (indigenous people of New Zealand) and those who are a part of the Polynesian culture.

The student brought artifacts from her time spent in Hawaii and taught everyone about the similarities between the two cultures! Such a fascinating and exciting presentation that was well prepared, interesting, and so welcomed!

We love when our students come up with ideas and are able to share what they love!
