As another week draws to a close, take a moment tonight to place everything you have carried into the hands of the Lord.

The joys.
The worries.
The prayers still waiting for an answer.
The things you wish had gone differently.

God already knows them all.

Jesus, thank You for remaining with us through every moment of this week. Give rest to those who are weary, comfort to those who are hurting, strength to those facing uncertainty, and peace to every heart that turns to You tonight.

Help us to trust that even when we cannot see what You are doing, You are still at work.

A reminder that our next Altar Server Training session is tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, from 12:00โ€“2:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary.

Altar serving is a beautiful opportunity to serve Our Lord at the altar, grow in your understanding of the Mass, and become more deeply involved in the life of our parish. ๐Ÿ™

This is the second of our two training sessions, and both sessions are required for those participating in the training program.

We are grateful for his faithful service, spiritual leadership, and dedication to our parish community. Through his priesthood, preaching, prayer, and care for Godโ€™s people, Fr. Shea continues to help lead us closer to Christ.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed by the attacks of September 11, 2001.

As Catholics, we remember this day first and foremost in prayer.

We pray for the nearly 3,000 souls who lost their lives, for the first responders who courageously ran toward danger, for the families who still carry the wounds of that day, and for all whose lives were forever changed.

We entrust every soul lost on September 11 to the infinite mercy of Jesus Christ, trusting in His promise that death does not have the final word.

May the Lord console those who mourn, strengthen those who continue to carry painful memories, and make us instruments of His peace in a world still deeply in need of healing.

Today, may we also remember the many acts of sacrifice, courage, compassion, and selflessness that emerged from unimaginable suffering โ€” reminders that even in darkness, the light of Christ cannot be overcome.

โ€œBlessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.โ€ โ€” Matthew 5:4

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

In the Eucharist, Jesus does not simply give us something โ€” He gives us Himself.

In the middle of a busy day, find a moment to turn your heart toward Christ.

Bring Him your gratitude, your worries, your questions, and even the things you cannot put into words. Sometimes the most beautiful prayer is simply remaining with Him. ๐Ÿ™

May we never lose the wonder of knowing that Jesus is truly present and waiting for us.

Prayer does not have to be complicated.

Sometimes prayer is a quiet moment before the Lord. Sometimes it is Scripture slowly read and pondered. Sometimes it is the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, or simply speaking honestly to God about what is on our hearts. ๐Ÿ™

The important thing is that we make room for Him.

Today, take a few minutes to step away from the noise, become still, and place yourself in the presence of God.

Today the Church celebrates the feast of St. Nicholas of Tolentino, an Augustinian priest remembered for his deep prayer, humility, compassion, and care for the poor and suffering.

St. Nicholas devoted his life to preaching, serving those in need, and praying especially for the souls of the departed. His witness reminds us that holiness is often found in quiet faithfulness, generous service, and a heart turned continually toward God. ๐Ÿ™

May his example inspire us to pray more faithfully, serve more generously, and trust more deeply in the mercy of Christ.
