Meditation Monday with Nurse Noelle:

The Fruit of the Spirit Never Retires

The fruit of the Spirit is not measured by how busy we are,
but by how faithfully we reflect Christ wherever He has placed us.

Patience is continuing to love and pray for a family member
whose heart has not yet turned toward God.

Kindness is sending a card, making a phone call, or visiting
someone who feels forgotten.

Joy is thanking God for today's blessings instead of
dwelling only on yesterday's losses.

Peace is trusting God when health concerns or an uncertain
future weigh heavily on your mind.

Gentleness is speaking with grace when friends or family
members make choices you don't understand.

Faithfulness is remembering God's past provision when facing
today's challenges.

Goodness is looking for ways to serve, even if your
abilities are different than they once were.

Self-control is choosing encouraging words instead of
criticism or complaint.

Love is making room in your heart and schedule for the needs
of others.

As we grow older, the opportunities may change, but the
calling remains the same: to reflect the character of Christ in the everyday
moments of life.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control."
— Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)

Meditation Monday with Nurse Noelle:

When You Can't Think Clearly

Sometimes we are told to "think positive," but that isn't always possible—or even helpful—when our minds are affected by depression, anxiety, chronic pain, illness, medication changes, grief, or other chemical imbalances.

In those moments, perhaps the goal is not positive thinking, but truthful thinking.

Truthful thinking does not pretend everything is fine. It acknowledges what is difficult while refusing to believe that today's pain is the whole story. It says, "This is hard, but I am still here. God is still present. Help is available. Tomorrow may not look exactly like today."

When your mind is clouded, lean on what is true rather than what feels true. Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable guides.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight." — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Some days, faith is simply choosing to hold onto truth until clarity returns.
