Judah Shall Go First
"And the LORD said, 'Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand.'" — Judges 1:2 (NKJV)
There is a divine order in the Kingdom of God, and it has never changed.
Judah goes first.
Before the battle...
Before the strategy...
Before the victory...
Before the promise is possessed...
Judah must arise.
The name Judah literally means praise, and it is no accident that when Israel asked God who should lead them into battle, He didn't choose the strongest tribe.
He didn't choose the largest army.
He didn't choose the tribe with the greatest military reputation.
He chose Judah.
Because God has always been teaching His people that victory is unlocked by worship before it is manifested in warfare.
Verse 2 says, "Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand."
The land wasn't delivered into the hands of the fearful.
The land wasn't delivered into the hands of the complainers.
The land was delivered into the hands of those who praised.
Too many believers wait until the breakthrough comes before they lift their hands.
But faith praises before it possesses.
The enemy knows this, which is why one of his greatest assignments is to silence your praise.
If he can steal your song, he can weaken your spirit.
If he can rob your worship, he can distract your focus.
If he can make you complain, he can keep you from walking in confidence.
The devil is terrified of a praising believer because praise announces that hell has failed to convince you that God has changed.
Psalm 22:3 declares, "God inhabits the praises of His people.”
When praise rises, God enthrones Himself in the midst of His people.
Praise doesn't manipulate God into coming.
It prepares a dwelling place for His manifested presence.
If we want the King to be enthroned in our churches...
If we want His glory in our homes...
If we want revival in our cities...
We must let Judah rise again.
We've become fascinated with polished productions, perfect performances, and emotional moments, but heaven is still responding to authentic praise.
God is not looking for better musicians.
He is looking for burning worshipers.
Because where God's presence is enthroned, chains cannot remain.
Darkness cannot rule.
Fear cannot dominate.
Demons cannot stay comfortable.
Praise changes the atmosphere because the King has entered the room.
Could it be that some of us are asking God to move while refusing to lift our voices?
We're praying for breakthrough...
God is asking for Judah.
We're asking for victory...
God is asking for praise.
We're asking Him to deliver the land...
God is saying,"Let Judah go first."
Because throughout Scripture, when Judah goes first, God delivers the land into the hands of those who praise.
And perhaps that's the word for this hour, the next thing God wants to release in your life is waiting on the sound of Judah.
Let praise rise.
Let worship lead.
Let heaven be enthroned.
Send Judah first.
Because when we send Judah first, the Mighty Lion of Judahs Tribe manifests Himself in our midst and the way is broken open.
