Join our pastor, Rev. Dr. Regina H. Moore, for a powerful evening of faith, hope, and transformation at the screening of Prisoner By Choice: The Frankie San Story on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 6:00–8:30 p.m. at the Nickelodeon Theatre in Columbia, SC.

This inspiring documentary tells the story of Frankie San, a South Carolina prison chaplain whose ministry brought hope, dignity, and compassion to countless incarcerated persons. Following the film, there will be a community conversation about faith, justice, mercy, and redemption.

Come be inspired by a story that reminds us of the power of God's love to reach every person and every place.

🎶🙏 Welcome to Worship at Aldersgate United Methodist Church! 🙏🎶

Good morning, friends! We are delighted that you are joining us for worship today, whether you are in Sumter, across South Carolina, or somewhere around the world.

Today we gather to praise the Living God through music, prayer, Scripture, and the proclamation of God's Word. Our choir will lead us in worship, we will pray for one another, and Rev. Dr. Regina H. Moore will share a message entitled "Sent to Heal" based on Matthew 9:35–10:8.

In this powerful passage, Jesus calls His disciples by name and sends them into the world to bring hope, healing, compassion, and good news. Together, we will explore what it means to be followers of Christ who are called, equipped, and sent to serve others in Jesus' name.

In Matthew 9, Jesus looks upon the crowds and is filled with compassion. He sees people who are weary, hurting, and searching for hope—and he responds with love.

As our pastor wraps up a wonderful week at Annual Conference in Greenville, where United Methodists worshiped, served, prayed, and conducted the business of the church, Dr. Moore's heart is already turning toward home and toward Sunday worship at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as we gather to worship the Living God, pray together, sing together, and hear God's Word. Our choir will be sharing special music, and the message will focus on Jesus' compassionate call to his disciples.

🍽️💛 We’re live at the South Carolina Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, where hundreds of hands and hearts are joining together with Rise Against Hunger to pack 125,000 meals for communities facing hunger around the world!
This is what it looks like when faith becomes action. As United Methodists, we are called to love our neighbors, serve joyfully, and share God’s abundance with a hungry world. Every meal packed today is a reminder that small acts of compassion can make a big difference.

As people of faith, we believe that voting is more than a civic responsibility—it is an expression of our Christian witness and our commitment to seeking the common good for all God's children. ✝️❤️

The Social Principles of The United Methodist Church remind us:

"We urge all Christians to exercise the responsibility of citizenship by voting and by holding elected officials accountable for their decisions."

When we participate in the democratic process, we affirm the dignity of every person and join in shaping communities where justice, mercy, and compassion can flourish. 🌎🤝

Scripture reminds us:

"Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you... and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare." — Jeremiah 29:7

🌱✨ A New Season of Hope at Aldersgate UMC! ✨🌱
We are grateful to be recognized as one of the South Carolina Conference's Renewal Vitality Stations—churches being re-missioned for a new season of ministry, mission, and impact in their communities. God is not finished with Aldersgate United Methodist Church! We believe God is calling us to dream again, serve again, and grow again as we seek to love our neighbors and share the hope of Jesus Christ.

As the prophet reminds us:
