The Lantern Principle: One Step at a Time
There’s a beautiful verse in Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Back in the day, a lamp wasn’t a high-powered LED floodlight. It was a tiny flickering flame. It didn’t light up the whole valley; it lit up the very next step.

If God gave us a floodlight, we’d probably get overwhelmed by how far we still have to go. So, He gives us a lantern. He gives us just enough light for today. Just enough grace for this hour. Just enough wisdom for this specific decision.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed because you don’t know what the next year looks like, take a breath. You don’t need to know what next year looks like. You just need to know where the lantern is shining right now.
