Today at Reid Chapel AMEC, we were blessed to celebrate and honor the fathers and father figures in our church family. We thank God for the men who lead, love, support, pray and pour into their families and community. Today was a special time of fellowship, appreciation and honoring the fathers for all they do.

We also give special honor to our Pastor David L. Bright and all the fathers of Reid Chapel. Thank you for your strength, wisdom, leadership and the example you continue to set. We pray God’s continued blessings, strength and favor over each of you.

On Sunday, Reid Chapel AMEC took a moment to honor the life and memory of our beloved Sister Genevieve Session.

Church members shared heartfelt reflections and memories, giving thanks for the impact Sister Session had on our church family and community. While we miss her presence, we are grateful for the legacy of faith, love and service she leaves behind.

As the Scripture reminds us, “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal.” (Isaiah 35:10)

Please continue to keep the Session family and all who knew and loved Sister Session in your prayers.

Rest well, Sister Session. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts.

On Sunday, Minister Faith Elbert delivered a powerful message, “It’s Time to Step Out on Faith” that brought encouragement, healing, and release to the Reid Chapel family. We are grateful for the Word God placed in your heart and for the ministry team that accompanied you.

Thank you for worshiping with us this weekend. Our hearts are full, our spirits are refreshed and we pray that God continues to bless each of you abundantly.

What an amazing and spirit-filled weekend at Reid Chapel AME Church! We kicked off the weekend with our Old School Gospel Musical, followed by our Women’s Empowerment Event on Saturday and concluded with a powerful Word on Sunday from Minister Faith Elbert.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the solo artists, groups, and choirs who participated in the Old School Gospel Musical and made it a night to remember. Your gifts, talents and obedience to God truly blessed everyone in attendance.

To our First Lady Penelope Bright, thank you for being a wonderful host. And to our Women’s Empowerment speakers, Faith Elbert, Lakecia Shuman and Tiffany Gill, thank you for allowing God to use you to uplift, encourage and empower the women who attended. Your transparency, faith and powerful messages left a lasting impact.
