Tomorrow we start a 5-week Sunday sermon series on the biblical prophets focusing on major figures like Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Amos, exploring themes of justice, repentance, and God's enduring grace.
Week 1: Isaiah — The Prophet of Comfort and Vision
Focus text: Isaiah 6:1–8 (The call of Isaiah)
Core theme: Seeing God’s holiness and responding with "Here am I, send me."
Week 2: Jeremiah — The Prophet of Tears and New Covenant
Focus text: Jeremiah 31:31–34 (The promise of a new covenant)
Core theme: Finding God’s persistent faithfulness even amid brokenness and grief.
Week 3: Amos — The Prophet of Justice and Righteousness
Focus text: Amos 5:21–24 ("Let justice roll down like waters")
Core theme: God cares more about how people treat one another than about loud songs or religious assemblies.
Week 4: Micah — The Prophet of Humble Walking
Focus text: Micah 6:6–8 ("What does the Lord require of you?")
