Today we celebrate that our Lord and Savior rose from the dead, defeating the power of sin and revealing that He is the Son of God.

No matter what your circumstances are today, may the resurrection of Christ bring comfort to your heart in a world that grieves under the weight of sin’s consequences. And may it also fill you with joy and encouragement, knowing that we too will be raised with Him.

“For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep… Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

Today we celebrate that Jesus revealed Himself to us as King—the long-awaited King who came to bring freedom. Not from our worldly struggles, but from our deepest and most deadly problem: our separation from God and our sinful condition.
He came in humility and love, not as the world expected.
As Pastor Juan says, His Kingdom did not begin with a coronation, but with a crucifixion; not with a crown of gold, but with a crown of thorns.

Today the ladies gathered to put up our Christmas decorations while the men enjoyed their Bible study. Such a sweet time of fellowship for everyone!

What does Jesus mean when he says "I have overcome the world"?

Pastor Juan explains this text on his sermon on John 16:29-33.
That victory means we no longer have to fear sin, Satan, suffering, or death. Jesus has already won the decisive battle, so even though we face trials in this world, they cannot separate us from Him or overturn His promises. His victory gives us peace in hardship, strength in weakness, and assurance that our future is secure in Him.

Family worship is not only for families with children—it is also a wonderful way for husbands and wives to grow together through marriage devotions, for grandparents to bless their grandchildren, and for parents to set an example for their adult children.

You will also find a Bible reading plan to help you stay rooted in God’s Word. It includes two readings for personal devotions and two for family worship. In addition, we have posted the Summit Bible Church Scripture Collection to encourage Scripture memorization together.
