“Don’t miss the forest for the trees!”

Yesterday, challenged us: Don’t be so fixated on the small thing that you miss the big thing. Don’t elevate good things above the God those things were meant to lead us to.

Five areas where we often miss Jesus:
1. Parenting — We can pursue behavior modification and miss relationship.
2. Work & Leadership — We can protect policies and miss people.
3. Religion — We can know Scripture and still miss Jesus.
4. Relationships — We can win arguments and lose friendships.
5. Achievement — We can build a life and miss out on living.

“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.” (John 5:39–40)

Jesus came to give life ABUNDANTLY. Don’t miss Him in the middle of all the good things!

12 people went public with their faith yesterday. 🌊

Ocean Baptism at Folly Beach was incredible. Old lives buried. New lives celebrated. The voice of Jesus brings dead things to life and we got to witness it in real time!

To everyone who got baptized: we are so proud of you. Your obedience is inspiring and your story matters.

To everyone who showed up to cheer, pray, and celebrate: thank you for being the kind of community that makes moments like this unforgettable.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” — John 5:24

Old life? Dead. New life? Alive in Jesus. 🙌

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” — John 5:24

The voice of Jesus brings dead things to life. Spiritually. Emotionally. Physically.

Where in your life feels dead today? Your hope? Your marriage? Your faith? Listen for His voice. Believe. And truly live.

“I know you can hear me.”

Every parent knows the difference between hearing and obeying. Between listening and actually responding.

Andi reminded us yesterday: Jesus is crying out. The question is are we hearing Him and truly living? Or are we spiritually dead in our sin and shame, saying “what?” when He calls?

We know the power of a mother’s voice. How much more powerful is the voice of Jesus, the voice that brings dead things to life?

Are you hearing Him today?

The voice of Jesus brings dead things to life.

On Sunday, Andi took us to John 5, where Jesus declares, “A time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.”

His voice has the power to raise the dead physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The question is: are we listening?

Three truths we’re carrying into the week:
• The voice that moves us from death to life. “Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” (John 5:24)
• The voice that will raise the dead. “A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28–29)
• The voice that brings just judgment. Jesus judges only as He hears from the Father. His voice is trustworthy.

Are you hearing Him? Are you believing and truly living?

Ladies, Gather and Grow is TUESDAY night 🌸

Tuesday, May 12 from 6:00–7:30 PM at Buffalo Lake. This event is all about connection, encouragement, and growth. We’ll hear powerful testimonies from women sharing how community has impacted their lives, and we’ll spend intentional time building one another up.

Here’s the fun part: Bring a bouquet of flowers to share. Just like each one of us carries unique gifts, we’ll combine and share our flowers to create new arrangements, reminding us how much more beautiful we become together.

Come ready to connect, be encouraged, and grow in community as we look ahead to launching women’s small groups.

Details:
📆 Tuesday, May 12
⏰ 6:00–7:30 PM
📍 Buffalo Lake, 125 Summers Drive
🚗 Parking is limited—carpool if you can!

Questions? DM us here or visit seacoast.org/events. See you tomorrow night 🙌
