Every year, we load Thanksgiving boxes with a complete meal for our friends and neighbors, and this year we need help feeding 500+ families. 🦃

Here’s how you can help:
- Fill a Thanksgiving box. Pick one up after service. The ingredient list is inside, so please pack only the items on the list and return it by Sunday, November 15.
- Donate a frozen turkey. Bring it to the Summerville Campus on Saturday, November 21, between 6 and 8am. We don’t have the freezers to store turkeys ahead of time.
- Volunteer at distribution. Join us at Serve Saturday on November 21 from 7am to 12pm.

Where to drop off your box:
- Summerville Campus (301 E 5th N St) anytime 9a-4p Mon-Thurs
- Summers Corner Campus (324 Gnarly Oak Ln) Sunday mornings only before or after services

In the middle of what God is leading you into, it’s often not time for explanations. It’s time for endurance and obedience.

When Peter asked why Jesus was washing his feet, Jesus said, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” (John 13:7)

Pastor Joel Delph reminded us that Jesus knew when his hour had come, and he served every day until it arrived. If you’re waiting on God’s timing today, you can keep serving and trusting while you wait. Later, you’ll understand.

What are you telling God no to?

Peter told Jesus, “You shall never wash my feet.” Pastor Joel Delph said it’s like having friends over, cleaning 90% of your house, and leaving the guest room dirty. We let Jesus into most of our lives, but keep the door closed on the one area we’d rather handle ourselves.

That’s where Jesus wants to change everything. He isn’t talking down to you. He’s on his knees asking, “Can I wash that?”

Jesus washed the feet of the man who was about to betray him.

This weekend Pastor Joel Delph taught from John 13, where Jesus wrapped a towel around his waist and stooped down to wash his disciples’ feet. The King of kings served every person at that table, Judas included. Pastor Joel’s question: would you grab a basin?

Three takeaways we’re carrying into the week:
- Serve without contingencies. Jesus served the one who would betray him, so we can serve without waiting for someone to deserve it or thank us.
- Surrender starts where you say no. Peter told Jesus, “You shall never wash my feet.” Pastor Joel asked what we’re telling God no to, because that’s where Jesus wants to change everything.
- Follow the example. “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” (John 13:15) The blessing comes when we do it.

Child Dedication is a moment for parents to publicly commit to guiding their children in faith. It celebrates your commitment to provide spiritual guidance, leadership, and support.

Dedication doesn’t take the place of baptism, which is the next step for every person who has chosen to put their faith and trust in Jesus as their Savior.

Bring a friend, a neighbor, or a coworker: this night is for women in every season of life! 🙌

Sisterhood Connect is an evening of worship and inspiration. We’ll hear an uplifting word from our special guest, then head to the lobby for an after-party with music, crafts, treats, and time to connect.

The Magdalene House Mission Retail Shop will be there too. Magdalene House of Charleston is a nonprofit recovery home for women overcoming addiction. Their jewelry, handbags, and fair-trade treasures support women learning to shine again, and every purchase helps restore a life.
